EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Sergio Villalobos and Max Kristoff each picked up an individual victory Sunday in dual matches against No. 25 Central Michigan and No. 23 South Dakota State.

The Cougars, 0-10 overall and 0-3 in the Mid-American Conference, dropped a 34-4 decision to Central Michigan in a MAC dual. South Dakota State defeated the Cougars 29-3.

"Max and Sergio finding ways to win was good," said SIUE Head Coach Jeremy Spates.

But the Cougars were frustrated by the two opponents which featured nine nationally-ranked wrestlers.

"Both of those teams are really good teams," said Spates. "We didn't do the things right we needed to do to compete. We had chances to get some ranked wins and help out guys out for seeding later in the year.
