LAST TIME OUT
The No. 75 Cougars continued their outstanding run of form with a pair of 6-1 road wins. The Red & White began last weekend with a neutral site victory over St. Thomas before closing out the road trip with a true road win over the UNI Panthers. The pair of Cougar wins improved SIUE to 8-0 on the season, 6-0 against Division I opponents, and 4-0 in true road matches.

PACK THE Y
The Cougars are welcoming all fans to the Edwarsville Y Meyer Center for Friday's contest! Admission and parking are free for all spectators, and the Cougars will be giving free pizza to all fans while supplies last.

NATIONALLY RANKED.
For the first time in program history, the Cougars have earned a spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Women's Division I National Team Rankings. SIUE slotted into the No. 75 spot, becoming the only team from the OVC to appear in the first edition of the national rankings. SIUE also joins No. 23 Northwestern and No. 40 Illinois as the only three ranked programs in the state of Illinois.

BEST IN CLASS
SIUE's potent doubles play has been recognized as the best in the OVC for the second time in as many weeks, as Caitlyn Sporing and Melissa Vizcardo's impressive efforts last weekend garnered the duo's first OVC Doubles Team of the Week honors This award follows last week's announcement, which saw Vanessa Reinicke and Jordan Schifano earn Doubles Team of the Week.

For the first time this season, the Cougars earned the Singles Player of the Week award - Jill Lambrechts, who has put together a seven-match winning streak in No. 2 singles, earned SIUE's first singles honor of the 2022 campaign.

HERE COME THE COUGARS
Head Coach Adam Albertsen enters his fourth season at the helm in 2022 looking to continue the trend of consistent improvement. The Cougars have improved in non-conference and OVC play in each of his first three seasons as Head Coach.

SIUE will be tested early and often this spring, as Albertsen has put together one of the most competitive schedules in the program's Division I era. The Red & White will face off against a trio of Missouri Valley Conference foes and four in-state rivals, as well as the program's first matchup against a FBS opponent since February 2, 2020 when the Cougars head to the Bluegrass State for a fixture at Western Kentucky.

The highlight of the Cougars' non-conference slate will come over Spring Break, when SIUE will head to Orlando for a pair of neutral-site matches against Radford and Sacred Heart. The Cougars' match against Sacred Heart will see the two programs face off for the very first time. SIUE last met Radford in 2008, also as part of a neutral-site trip in Florida. This will be just the second-ever meeting between the Cougars and Highlanders.

MAKING HISTORY
The Cougars are in the midst of their best start in six seasons and their second-best start in the program's Division I era.
    2011-12 (3-0)

SCOUTING THE BRAVES
The Bradley Braves enter Friday's contest at 4-5; however, the Braves are riding a three-match winning streak. The Braves' streak began with an impressive 4-2 win at Omaha before claiming a pair of home wins over Western Illinois and OVC rival Eastern Illinois. Bradley took down the Cougars by a 6-1 margin last season when the two squads meet in Peoria - the Red & White will be looking to avenge last season's loss in Friday's contest.

The Braves lead the all-time series against the Cougars, 6-4. SIUE last took down Bradley on January 31, 2020 in Edwardsville, when the Cougars defeated the Braves by a one-point margin.
