• SIUE and South Dakota agreed to a second game so Wednesday's home opener will be a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Cougar Field.
• South Dakota played a single game Tuesday at Saint Louis.
• Among
Grace Lueke's four home runs Monday at the Saluki Invitational was a walk-off solo home run against Northern Illinois. It was SIUE's first walk-off home run since Reagan Curtis in 2018.
• Lueke now leads the Cougars with seven home runs. That is the second most in the OVC this season.

Lexi King leads the Cougars in hits with 22 from the leadoff position in the lineup.
• Lauren Yslava leads the starters in hitting with a .375 average.

Mia Haynes holds the pitching staff lead in strikeouts (58) and wins (4).
• Haynes became the 19th pitcher in school history to record a no-hitter with an 8-0, five-inning win over Louisiana Tech at the Best on the Bayou Classic. It also is the 14th no-hitter of the Division I era for SIUE.
• SIUE opens the Ohio Valley Conference regular season Saturday with a home noon doubleheader against Murray State. The three-game series includes a noon single game Sunday.
• This is the first season for Interim Head Coach
