LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars dropped their first match of the 2022 season with a 4-1 loss to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday afternoon, After narrowly dropping the doubles point, SIUE's lone singles win came with Nicole Gomez's straight-set victory on the No. 6 court. The match was played until clinch, leaving two singles fixtures unfinished.

BEST IN CLASS
SIUE's potent doubles play was recognized as the best in the OVC for two consecutive weeks to start the season, as Caitlyn Sporing and Melissa Vizcardo's impressive efforts garnered the duo's first OVC Doubles Team of the Week honors for the week of February 21. This award followed the announcement, which saw Vanessa Reinicke and Jordan Schifano earn Doubles Team of the Week the week prior. The Cougars' Jill Lambrechts also earned the Singles Player of the Week award for the week of February 21 - Lambrechts who has put together a seven-match winning streak in No. 2 singles, earned SIUE's first singles honor of the 2022 campaign.
 
WE'LL SEE YOU IN FLORIDA
Following the Cougars' trip to Bowling Green, SIUE will head to the Sunshine State for a pair of neutral-site fixtures in Orlando. The Cougars will take on Radford on Tuesday before closing out their trip with a Thursday night match against Sacred Heart.

The Cougars put together their best start in six seasons and their second-best start in the program's Division I era.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
The Radford Highlanders enter Tuesday's fixture following a narrow, 4-3 loss to Wofford on Saturday afternoon. Radford will play Sacred Heart at 11 a.m. Tuesday before closing out the day with their fixture against SIUE. Radford and SIUE have met just once before, when the Highlanders shut out the Cougars on March 16, 2008.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Sacred Heart Pioneers enter Thursday's contest off a 6-1 loss at UConn on Wednesday afternoon. SHU will play Radford and Creighton before they face off against the Cougars. SHU and SIUE have never met.
