BANDON, Ore. – SIUE sophomore TJ Baker finished 10th in a field of 100 golfers and SIUE finished 14th at the Bandon Dunes Championship completed Tuesday at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
The Cougars finished at 905 for the tournament. Oregon won the team title at 863. San Jose State was second at 865. Kansas at 866 was third.
Baker shot even par Tuesday and finished at 216 (+3) for the tournament. Anthony Ruthey tied for 64th with a 228. Brooks Jungbluth came in at 232 to tie for 76th. Tanner Collins finished at 234 to tie for 81st. Bensen Tyrrell finished 98th at 247.
SIUE's three individuals finished within one stroke of one another. Presley Mackelburg and Luke Ludwig tied for 42nd with a 224. Connor Neighbors was a stroke behind, tied at 46th.
Caleb Shetler of San Jose State fired a 68 on Tuesday and finished four-under to claim medalist honors.
The Cougars will next take to the links March 22-23 at Missouri State's Twin Oaks Intercollegiate, where they are the defending champions.
