• SIUE won its final nonconference matchup of the season, a 3-2 victory over rival Saint Louis Tuesday. Lexi King homered to lead off the game against the Billikens.
• Sydney Baalman and Kelsey Ray combined to give up just two hits to the Billikens. Ray earned her first victory of the season in a relief role.
• King leads the Cougars in several offensive categories, including batting average (.345), hits (41) and stolen bases (9).
• Freshman outfielder Lauryn Yslava is second in hitting (.330) and is second as well in home runs (4).
• Grace Lueke has nine home runs this season. The last time a Cougar had 10 or more home runs in a season was 10 by Alex McDavid in 2013.
• Lueke also has been patient at the plate with a team-leading 16 walks. She holds a team-leading on-base percentage of .405.
• Jenna Herron hit her first career home run last weekend at Tennessee Tech.
• Mia Haynes leads the SIUE pitching staff with five wins and 81 strikeouts.
• Next weekend, SIUE returns home after eight straight road games, including this series at Morehead State. The Cougars play host to UT Martin next Saturday and Sunday.
