• Due to weather concerns, this three-game series is now one game at 3 p.m. Saturday and a noon doubleheader Sunday.
• SIUE has climbed to seventh place in the OVC softball standings after winning five straight against league competition. The Cougars swept a doubleheader from Eastern Illinois as well as a three-game series against Tennessee State.
• The OVC race is tight with the Cougars just one game  out of fourth place and two games away from third place
• The Cougars allowed just one run in the three-game set against Tennessee State, making it the fewest runs allowed in a three-game OVC series.

Lauryn Yslava leads the team in hitting with a .354 batting average.

Grace Lueke hit her team-leading eighth home run of the season last Saturday. The first-inning homer was the only run in a 1-0 victory over Tennessee State.

Lexi King is second in hitting with a .336 batting average. She also leads the Cougars in at bats (107), runs scored (19), hits (36), doubles (8), sacrifice flies (3) and stolen bases (7).
• The SIUE pitching staff has spread around the victories.
Mia Haynes leads the team with five while King and
Sydney Baalman both have four. All three were victorious in the weekend series against Tennessee State.
