EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – A large crowd was on hand to see SIUE men's soccer complete its 2022 exhibition schedule against UIS Saturday at Korte Stadium.
A weather delay shortly before the scheduled kickoff forced the start of the match back nearly an hour.
"Credit to all of those who made it out and a massive thanks to all that stayed," SIUE Head Coach
Cale Wassermann. "Certainly, the delay puts a damper on things a little bit. We still had a great crowd and good energy. We're looking forward to the regular season and packed house."
"Tonight was great prep for us against a good opponent," Wassermann said. "I think the rain delay was good for us too, because we'll need to learn how to manage that in the regular season."
The Cougars open the regular season Thursday at Loyola Marymount.
