LAST TIME: SIUE opened the home campaign with a 2-0 blanking of Lindenwood Friday night. The Cougars got goals from Pau Palacin and Andres Delascio. 

FOUR SCORE: SIUE's four goals this year have come from four different goal scorers. 

NEWCOMERS: Both of SIUE's goals on opening weekend were scored by newcomers to the team. Transfer Ignacio Abeal Pou netted his first for SIUE in the loss at LMU while freshman Will Harris found the back of the net against CSUN.

DIVISION RANKS: SIUE's first two home opponents are new to Division I competition. Both Lindenwood and Southern Indiana are playing in the Summit League for men's soccer. Both school's primary conference is the Ohio Valley Conference which those programs share with SIUE.

OPENING ACT: Friday marked the Cougars 15th home opener since returning to the Division I level in 2008. SIUE is 7-7-1 in home openers in that time and have now won five consecutive home openers dating back to 2018.
