EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE wrestling entertains Buffalo Sunday at 1 p.m. in a Mid-American Conference dual meet at First Community Arena.
The Cougars, coming off a strong ninth-place finish at the prestigious Ken Kraft Midlands Tournament to close out 2022, opens the new year with a 2-3 dual meet record.
Buffalo enters the match with a 5-7 dual record. Its last two appearances in dual meets were wins over Edinboro and Bucknell on Dec. 18.
SIUE's lineup has shown marked improvement this season and grew stronger in the last week with NCAA Tournament qualifier Saul Ervin returning to 141 pounds. The Cougars also have 10-plus wins this season from Caleb Tyus at 149 pounds, Cardi Wilson at 165 pounds and Colton McKiernan at heavyweight.
