EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Following a week off, SIUE golf resumes its fall season Monday playing in Wichita State's Grier Jones Shocker Invitational for the first time.
The tournament takes place at Sand Creek Station, which plays at 7, 187 yards and is a par 72.
The Cougars are part of a 15-team field which includes host Wichita State, Abilene Christian, Air Force, Denver, Drake, Hutch Community College, La Salle, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Rice, Seton Hall, Texas A&M-Commerce, UTRGV and UT Arlington. Oklahoma State also will have five individuals playing.
Teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The final 18-hole round gets underway Tuesday also with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
The individual medalist receives an exemption bid to the Wichita Open, a tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour.
SIUE will pair with Texas A&M Commerce, UTRGV and Abilene Christian Monday.
