WEEKLY HONORS
Once again, SIUE was honored by the Ohio Valley Conference as freshmen Amelia Gorman and Margaux Guibal Britt were named co-Doubles Players of the Week. The Cougar duo won twice last week in doubles matches and are now 8-2 in No. 2 doubles matches this season.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
This is the first-ever Ohio Valley Conference match between SIUE and Lindenwood. The Lions come into the match with a 1-4 overall record coming off home losses against Western Illinois and Southeast Missouri.

CONSISTENCY
The Cougars are now 10-0 this season when Jordan Schifano wins her No. 3 singles match. Schifano leads the Cougars with 16 singles wins this season, including a 10-3 mark at No. 3 singles.


NEW TRAVELING TROPHY
SIUE Head Coach Adam Albertsen had some exciting news to share this week. SIUE and Lindenwood announced the first annual match for the Coomer Golden Racket. The traveling trophy was made possible by an anonymous donor and will remain with the regular season winner each year. The Coomer Golden Racket will honor legacy of Jason Coomer who served in a dual role at SIUE as Coach and Administrator leading SIUE tennis from 2010-2016 while serving as Senior Associate AD for External Affairs before becoming the Deputy Athletic Director for the Cougars.  Coomer now serves as the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics at Lindenwood University where he continues to make his mark in the Ohio Valley Conference.

SERIES MATCHUPS
SIUE is 2-0 all-time against Lindenwood. The only two meetings happened in 2007 (9-0 win for SIUE) and 2008 (6-1 for SIUE).

YEAR FIVE
Adam Albertsen is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Cougars. SIUE has increased its win total in each of the previous four years. Last season, the Cougars completed play with a 16-5 dual meet record.
