WEEKLY HONORS
Jill Lambrechts became the third different person to be named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week. She led the Cougars to a pair of 7-0 victories to start the OVC regular season. The redshirt junior from Beerse, Belgium, defeated Lindenwood's Alina Jensterle 6-0, 6-0 and Tennessee State's Warona Mdlulwa 6-1, 6-1. Her overall record is now 15-6.
DOUBLES TEAM HONORS
Once again, SIUE was honored by the Ohio Valley Conference as freshmenÂ
Amelia Gorman andÂ
Margaux Guibal Britt were named co-Doubles Players of the Week for a second straight week and third time overall. The duo defeated Lindenwood's Juliana Kulczynski and Eveline Nilsson 6-2 and Tennessee State's Jovana Nikoloc Franka Sindicic 6-3.
BATTLE OF THE UNDEFEATED
Both SIUE and Southeast Missouri have not taken a loss in the league standings. SIUE has 7-0 wins over Lindenwood and Tennessee State. SEMO has a 7-0 over Lindenwood. Eastern Illinois also is 1-0 in OVC play heading into the weekendÂ

SERIES MATCHUPS
SIUE is 8-5 all-time against Southeast Missouri but has dropped the last four meetings between the two schools. The last SIUE win was 2017 when the Cougars defeated the Redhawks 6-1.
YEAR FIVE
Adam Albertsen is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Cougars. SIUE has increased its win total in each of the previous four years. Last season, the Cougars completed play with a 16-5 dual meet record.
