ANOTHER CLOSE VICTORY
The Cougars won a match 4-3 for the third time in the last four matches Thursday when they bested Saint Louis. The Cougars hold a seven-match winning streak headed into Sunday's competition.
CONSISTENCY
The Cougars are now 8-0 this season when
Jordan Schifano wins her No. 3 singles match. Her latest win was a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Saint Louis' Fiorella Duran .
SEVEN STRAIGHT
Jaiden McKee is 7-0 this season and 2-0 in No. 5 singles matches. Her 6-3, 6-3 win over Sandra Gines was a key matchup in SIUE's victory against Saint Louis.
SERIES MATCHUPS
SIUE is 0-2 all-time against Western Kentucky. The Cougars lost 4-1 last season in Bowling Green, Kentucky. WKU topped the Cougars 4-3 in Edwardsville during the 2010-11 season.
SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
Western Kentucky has been very busy this season with 13 matches already completed and one more before meeting the Cougars. WKU faces Saint Louis Saturday evening.

Adam Albertsen is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Cougars. SIUE has increased its win total in each of the previous four years. Last season, the Cougars completed play with a 16-5 dual meet record.
