EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE golf's Anthony Ruthey (Port Byron, Illinois) has earned Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week honors after leading SIUE to the tournament title at the Dolenc Invitational on Tuesday at Gateway National Golf Links.

The redshirt senior led SIUE with a 66 (-5) in Monday's opening round before tying the program's individual single-round scoring record in the afternoon at 64 (-7). On Tuesday, he finished the final round at 73 (+2) to lift the Cougars to their first Dolenc Invitational title since 2018.

Ruthey's 10-under score tied him for third overall in the 93-man field.

As a team, the Cougars fired a 274 Tuesday and concluded the tournament at 818 (-34), setting a new 54-hole program record. SIUE's final team score also set a new Dolenc Invitational record.

The Prairie Farms Athlete of the Week honors a Cougar student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
