EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - After one week since their last game, the Cougars (0-2, 0-0 OVC) return to First Community Arena to take on Loyola (2-1, 0-0 A-10) November 16. Tip off is set fo 1:00 p.m.
THE BASICS: SIUE has played Loyola eight times. Loyola leads the series 8-0. The team last met in Chicago Dec. 18, 2023 where Loyola defeated SIUE by three points (77-74).
LAST TIME OUT: The Cougars fell to Murray State 104-60. Starters against the Chargers included
Macy Silvey,
Ava Gugliuzza,
Halle Smith,
Emiyah Cobb and
Kendal George.
Brianna Wooldridge led the team scoring 15 points off the bench. She also made 6-12 shots form the field.
Macy Silvey scored 14 points. While
Ava Gugliuzza contributed nine points and eight rebounds.
COLLEGE DEBUT:
Meegan Fahy has played two games for SIUE making her debut as a starter against UMSL.
Rory Conboy has also seen minutes against UMSL and Murray State.
Olivia Loveland and
Alexis Warren made their debut for the Cougars against Murray State.
BRI:
Brianna Wooldridge currently leads the team in points (27) averaging 13.5 a game. In the last two games she has led scoring in double digits. She put up 12 points against UMSL and 15 against Murray state.
TEAM RANK: SIUE leads the OVC in Bench points per game (27.5), this is also good for 87th in the nation.
