EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE travels to Orlando to start their four game road series. So far this year the Cougars have had three home games, two home exhibition matches and one game on the road against Murray State. Roosevelt was the first win of the season for SIUE.
THE SERIES: The Cougars have faced off with UFC one time before in 2013-14 season under head coach Paula Buscher. The Knights won 68-43 at their home arena in Orlando Florida.
COLLEGE DEBUT:
Meegan Fahy averages 17.3 minutes a game for SIUE making her debut as a starter against UMSL.
Rory Conboy has also seen minutes against UMSL and Murray State and Roosevelt.
Olivia Loveland and
Alexis Warren made their debut for the Cougars against Murray State.
Carmen Martinez Lopez made her debut against Roosevelt contributing two points off the line.
THREE FOR THE E: Transfer
Kendal George led the team in points (12) against Loyola, this was also a new single-game high. George was a key player banking three three-pointers making it a five point game for the Cougars. George is shooting at a .300 when it comes to three pointers.
BRI:
Brianna Wooldridge currently leads the team in points (49) averaging 12.3 a game. She put up 12 points against UMSL, a season single-game high of 15 against Murray State,10 points against Loyola and 12 points against Roosevelt University. She is 9-13 when shooting from the line. Wooldridge leads the OVC and ranks 73rd in the nation with a 57.1 field goal percentage.
SILVEY LINING:
Macy Silvey currently leads the team in three points made (8) averaging 2.0 per game. She also leads in free throw percentage going 4-4 on the season.
SHE-CAN-HANDLE IT:
Molly Sheehan has had nine assists so far this season. She is 4-22 when shooting from the field (.182 percent). Sheehan has had 10 points over four games.
TEAM RANK: SIUE leads the OVC in Bench points per game (30.3), this is also good for 50th in the NCAA. They lead the OVC in defensive rebounds (28.3) good for 78th in the NCAA.
REBOUND:
Ava Gugliuzza leads the team in rebounds (11) averaging 5.5 pregame. Gugliuzza has taken charge in defensive rebounds for the Cougars.

AT THE HELM:
Samantha Quigley Smith is beginning her fourth season in charge of the Cougars and 12th season as a head coach. She owns a 28-69 record at SIUE and is 17-37 against conference opponents. All-time, Coach Smith is 212-164.
PRESEASON HONORS: The preseason Ohio Valley Conference Poll predicted an eighth-place finish for the Cougars tied with UT Martin. Southern Indiana was selected as regular season champions with 20-first place votes. Graduate guard

READY TO COMPETE: In its non conference schedule, SIUE will play one game against opponents who finished the 20223-24 season in RPI top 100 (Middle Tennessee)
LAST SEASON: Silvey tied for sixth in the OVC averaging 1.9 three-pointers per game. She moved into 13th all-time at SIUE with 98 three-pointers and led the charge scoring double-figures in 14 games. Rodriguez was named OVC player of the week three times. Before leaving the game at SIU Carbondale with an injury, she ranked third in the NCAA in total points, third in free throw attempts, third in free throws made, ninth in scoring average, and seventh in three-point percentage.
