PERFECT START
SIUE is 5-0 in dual matches to start the 2024 season with wins over Illinois-Springfield, Valparaiso, Bradley, Milwaukee and St. Thomas.

HOME SWEET HOME
Not only are the next three matches at home for the Cougars, all three of the matches are against foes from the Missouri Valley Conference. After taking on Illinois State and Northern Iowa this weekend, SIUE meets Missouri State next Saturday to begin its spring break.

SERIES 
SIUE is 3-1 against Illinois State in the Division I era. Illinois State defeated the Cougars 4-1 last season in Normal. SIUE is 3-1 in the Division I era against Northern Iowa and edged the Panthers 4-3 last season.

COUGARS OF THE WEEK
Jill Lambrechts was selected as the co-OVC Player of the Week. Stefaniya Anikina and Amelia Gorman were named the OVC Doubles Team of the Week. Anikina and Gorman are 5-0 as a doubles team this season.

SINGLES WINS
Lambrechts passed Lexi Aranda (2013-17) for the second-most singles wins in the Division I era with 73. The SIUE leader in the Division I era is Mia Frogner (2013-17) with 76. Jordan Schifano has 64 career singles wins.

TOP DOUBLES THREAT
Lambrechts and Jordan Schifano are 10-3 overall this season in doubles.

YEAR SIX
Adam Albertsen is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Cougars. SIUE has increased its win total in each of the previous five years. Last season, the Cougars completed play with a 17-5 dual meet record.
