BUSY WEEK AHEAD
SIUE has scheduled four matches over the next week beginning with Saturday's nonconference matchup against Missouri State. The Cougars next face Alcorn State on Monday, Nicholls State on Tuesday and New Orleans on Thursday.
HOMESTAND
Saturday's contest is the third straight home match for the Cougars and the third straight match against an opponent from the Missouri Valley Conference.
SERIESÂ
The Cougars are 2-2 against Missouri State having last faces the Bear during the 2018-19 season. Missouri State won the last meeting 4-3 in Edwardsville on Jan. 27, 2019.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Stefaniya Anikina was selected as the OVC Player of the Week after recording a pair of singles wins last week.
WINNING STREAKS
Cydney Rogers has a five-match winning streak in singles, including a 2-0 mark this spring at No. 6 singles.
Fabiola Perez holds a four-match winning streak in singles matches with a 1-0 record at No. 5 singles this spring and a 3-0 record at No. 6 singles.
SINGLES WINS
Lambrechts passed Lexi Aranda (2013-17) for the second-most singles wins in the Division I era with 74. The SIUE leader in the Division I era is Mia Frogner (2013-17) with 76.
Jordan Schifano has 65 career singles wins.
YEAR SIX
Adam Albertsen is in his sixth season as the head coach of the Cougars. SIUE has increased its win total in each of the previous five years. Last season, the Cougars completed play with a 17-5 dual meet record.
