SIUE scored two runs in the second, third and sixth innings.

Harley Limberger who had reached on an fielding error.
"It was hit over the scoreboard in left field," said Sorden.
SIUE added insurance runs in the sixth on an RBI double from
Jenna Herron and an RBI single by
Anna Henderson.
In game one, the game down to momentum shift. SIUE and UT Martin were tied 2-2 heading to the seventh. Rocha planted a solo home run over the fence only to have the Skyhawks' Kaci Fuller hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh.
