MAC Announces Pre-Seeds For the 2024 MAC Wrestling Championship
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced today the pre-seeding for the upcoming 2024 MAC Wrestling Championship (March 8-9), hosted by Kent State University at Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center in Kent, Ohio.

Seven SIUE wrestlers are seeded for this year's tournament. The lowest seeded wrestler for the Cougars is Caleb Tyus at 149 pounds, who is tabbed as the No. 3 seed.
 
Listed below is the pre-seeding for the MAC Wrestling Championship following today's conference call with all 13 MAC head wrestling coaches. The MAC will release the final 2024 MAC Wrestling Championship brackets on Thursday evening.

The NCAA also announced the pre-allocation spots for the 2024 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, which will be held at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City (March 21-23). The MAC has been awarded five spots at 157, three spots at 149 and 285, two spots at 125, 174, 184 and 197 as well as one spot at 133, 141 and 165. The NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee will meet after the conclusion of conference championships nationwide to add a total of 47 at-large qualifiers.
