NON CONFERENCE CONTEST
SIUE travels to the Billiken Sports Center for a 5 p.m. contest against the Billikens. This is the final SIUE softball nonconference game of the season.
COMING UP
There are two weekends left in the regular season. SIUE travels to Cookeville, Tennessee, this weekend for a three-game series at Tennessee Tech. The regular season comes to a close May 4-5 at home against Morehead State. Senior Day will be Sunday, May 5.
LAST TIME OUT
SIUE dropped the finale of the Southern Indiana series Sunday 2-1.
EXTRA TIME
Saturday's 16-inning game against Southern Indiana was the longest game among NCAA Division I schools this season. The next longest was a pair of 14-inning games featuring East Carolina vs. Florida Atlantic (March 28) and Indiana vs. Arizona (February 24).
SERIES RECORD
SIUE holds a 37-20 all-time record against the Billikens. The Cougars have won the last two meetings. Last season, SIUE was victorious 6-5 in Edwardsville. The last meeting in St. Louis was a 3-2 win for the Cougars in 2022. Each of the last four contests between SIUE and Saint Louis have been one-run contests.
LONGEST HITTING STREAK
Paige Rocha broke the school record for consecutive games with a hit at 29 games, which also stands as the longest such streak among Division I players this season. The streak ended in game two of a doubleheader against Western Illinois. Rocha broke the previous record of 27 set by Erin Newman in 2001. Rocha has now hit in 32 of her last 33 games.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Rocha is No. 4 nationally in doubles with 19. Jenna Herron is 88th nationally and fourth in the OVC in doubles with 12.

Lone Tree, Iowa, native Ben Sorden is in his second season as head coach of the Cougars. Sorden came to SIUE after holding positions at Michigan State and Indiana, helping the pitching staffs to national honors and top-notch results.
