MARICOPA, Ariz. – SIUE golf took 11 strokes off its first round score, carding a 283 Saturday in round two of the National Golf Invitational.
The Cougars are at 575 (-1) total and are seventh after turning in the third-lowest round of the day. TCU (-20) leads the team race. Washington State (-19) and Richmond (-13) are second and third, respectively.
Brady Kaufmann shot a 71 Saturday. He leads SIUE and is tied for 20th at 143. TJ Baker is tied for 23rd at 144. Luke Ludwig is two strokes back and is tied for 27th. Anthony Ruthey is tied for 32nd at148. Brent Reintjes turned in the lowest round of his career-shooting a 67 Saturday. He is tied for 37th at 149.
Valparaiso's Anthony Delisanti is atop the individual leaderboard at 11-under. Â
The final round will be completed Sunday at AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
