This weekend's contests against Morehead State are the final games of the regular season. SIUE earns a bid to next week's Ohio Valley Conference Championship in Peoria, Illinois, with one victory.

SIUE will honor four seniors Sunday in a pregame ceremony:

LAST TIME OUT
SIUE bested Tennessee Tech 7-5 in the final game of a three-game series in Cookeville, Tennessee.
SERIES RECORD
SIUE is 29-6 all-time against Morehead State. The Cougars swept the series last season in Morehead, Kentucky. In the two teams' last meeting, Baalman tossed a no-hitter against the Eagles at the OVC Championships.

SIUE is second in the OVC in strikeout-to-walk ratio as a team (2.11).
OVC TOURNAMENT
The OVC Tournament kicks off Wednesday in Peoria, Illinois. The first two games of the tournament are single-elimination games where the No. 6 seed plays the No. 7 seed at 10 a.m. followed by the No. 5 seed against the No. 8 seed at 12:30 p.m. The winners of those two games move on to a six-team double-elimination bracket and would play once again Wednesday against the No. 3 and No. 4 seed, respectively.
LONGEST HITTING STREAK
Paige Rocha broke the school record for consecutive games with a hit at 29 games, which also stands as the longest such streak among Division I players this season. The streak ended in game two of a doubleheader against Western Illinois. Rocha broke the previous record of 27 set by Erin Newman in 2001.
ROCHA NATIONALLY RANKED
Rocha leads the OVC in a handful of statistical categories and is among the nation's best as well. She is ranked third in the nation in doubles with 20 and fourth in doubles per game (0.42). Her 71 hits is 12th best nationally.

Rocha has 71 hits this season heading into the final weekend. She set the SIUE Division I-era standard last season with 74. The school record for hits in a season is 83 by Jenny Esker in 2002.

Ben Sorden is in his second season as head coach of the Cougars. Sorden came to SIUE after holding positions at Michigan State and Indiana, helping the pitching staffs to national honors and top-notch results.
