CLARION, Pa. - SIUE wrestling swept the weekend with its second straight dual match victory Sunday, besting Clarion 26-9.
SIUE won five consecutive matches during the dual at one point, taking seven of the 10 matches contested in all.
Marcel Lopez led the Cougars with a third-period pin at 133 pounds over Mason Prinkey, SIUE also picked up major decision wins from
Danny Martinez at 141 pounds and
Eric Almarinez at 157 pounds.

After spending the weekend on the eastern side of the country, SIUE, 5-5 overall and 3-1 in the Mid-American Conference, next travels west to face California Baptist (Jan. 31) and Cal Poly (Feb. 2).
