- The Cougars are coming off their first OVC win, a 77-66 victory over Western Illinois Thursday.
- With 23 points against WIU, Ray'Sean Taylor became SIUE's Division I scoring leader with 1,558 career points. It was his 28th career game of 20 or more points.
- He is third in scoring in the OVC at 17.4 points per game.
- The win over Eureka was the first time SIUE hit the 100-point mark since December 2014.
- The Cougars knocked down a school-record 17 three-pointers against the Red Devils
- Ray'Sean Taylor hit six three-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points-all in the first half.
- Freshman Cham Okey recorded his first career double-double against Eureka with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He was named OVC Freshman of the Week Dec. 16.
- Ring Malith recorded his second career double-double against Ball State scoring a career-high 24 points while pulling down 10 rebounds.
- Maltih grabbed an SIUE Division I-record 19 rebounds against St. Ambrose Nov. 23. It was the most rebounds in a game since Anthony Smith's 18 in January 1994.
- Malith is the rebounding leader at 6.4 boards per game, which is seventh in the OVC.
