Women's Basketball Hits The Road To Take on Eastern Illinois

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill- The Cougars dropped to 2-11 and 0-4 in OVC play after two home games against Western Illinois and Lindenwood. SIUE hits the road to take on No. 1 Eastern Illinois. 

TEAM RANK: SIUE is second in the OVC in Bench points per game (26.8), this is also good for 43rd in the NCAA. They are second in the OVC for three-point attempts (22.8). 

SCORING LEADER: Brianna Wooldridge currently leads the team in scoring averaging 8.4 points a game. Wooldridge is shooting .425 from the field (37-87). She is also shooting .708 from the line. She has had four games this season scoring the the double digits. 

REBOUND: Wooldridge averages 4.8 rebounds a game. She has been the Rebounding leader for four games this season (Loyola 8, Roosevelt 5, DePaul 5, Middle Tenn. 5). Ava Stoller follows with 3.9, Macy Silvey averages 3.5, Halle Smith with 3.5 and Jaiden Bryant with 3.8. Bryant recorded a season single-game high of eight rebounds against Lindenwood. 

THREE FOR THE E: Ava Gugliuzza has had three games this season with four or more three-pointers. She last had four three-pointers against SEMO. Gugliuzza is shooting .299 percent from three-point range. Silvey is currently leads the team in three points made (2) averaging 1.8 per game. She is shooting .343 percent from the arc. 

THE RETURN: KK Rodriguez had 20-points against SEMO, marking her second game of the season in double-digits. This also made her the second player on the team to have a 20-point game during the 2024-25 season. She made her return to play Dec. 4 against Middle Tennessee after missing 21 games in the 2023-24 season. She came out hot opening the scoring for the Cougars, totaling 7 points and six rebounds over 14 minutes.

HALLE BUCKETS: Smith recorded her third 20-point game against Evansville Dec.8. Her 24 points was a new career-high and, the first 20-point game for a Cougar this season. Smith is shooting .424 from the field (25-57).

SHEEHAN-DLES: Molly Sheehan has had 25 assists so far this season averaging 2.1 a game. She had her fourth game in double-digits this season against Little Rock which also good for her first game this season as the scoring leader.
