MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - SIUE wrestling and Central Michigan battled with several closes matches, but the Cougars fell in the dual meet 26-6 at McGuirk Arena.
Drew Davis and
Deron Pulliam were victorious for the Cougars. Davis started the dual at 125 pounds with a decisive 8-3 victory over Grant Stahl. Pulliam added a 4-1 sudden victory over Adrien Cramer. at 174 pounds with an aggressive takedown in the overtime period. Four more matches were determined by four or fewer points.
The Cougars fell to 7-7 and 4-2 in the Mid-American Conference for the season with Sunday's road loss. Central Michigan is now 8-9 overall and 6-1 in the MAC.
Next up for the Cougars is the regular season finale next Saturday against Northern Illinois at 6 p.m.
