EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. –Sophomore Chloe Koons (Glen Carbon, Ill.) from the women's tennis team has received Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors after her performances at Northern Iowa and St. Thomas.
 
Koons started out defeating St. Thomas' Ingrid Forberg (6-3,4-6,6-3) at No. 6 singles. She remained undefeated in singles play with a win (6-1,6-1) over Northern Iowa's Sreelasya Mylavarapu. Koons is now 5-0 this spring in dual singles play.
 
The Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors an SIUE student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
