Cougars Face Golden Eagles for the Second Time

  • The Cougars defeated Eastern Illinois 66-41 Tuesday in Edwardsville. 
  • It was SIUE's strongest defensive effort of the year. It also was the fewest points SIUE has allowed in an OVC game ever.
  • Myles Thompson turned in his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Both are career highs.
  • Ring Malith turned his fifth double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds against EIU.
  • SIUE is allowing just 65.3 points per game, which leads the OVC, and ranks 34th nationally.
  • Brian Barone is in his sixth season as Head Coach. He has a career record of 80-99 at SIUE.
  • SIUE defeated Tennessee Tech 67-59 Jan. 11 in Edwardsville. The Cougars came back after trailing at half.
