Women's Basketball Hits the Roads for Tennessee Tech

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Women's basketball prepares to take on Tennessee Tech for the second time this season. Tip off is set for Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. 
  • SIUE is coming off a 67-61 loss after their second over time game this season against Eastern Illinois.
  • SIUE has seen two OVC wins so far this season against Tennessee State Jan. 16 (76-70 OT) and Morehead State Jan. 25 (76-58).
  • Ava Stoller had a season high 17 points against MSU, going 5-5 from the free throw line. She also contributed four assists.
  • Macy Silvey leads the team in scoring averaging 9.7 per game. 
  • Silvey had 21 points two games in a row at TSU and UTM. 
  • Silvey leads the team in 3-point FG attempts at 6.0 per game. 
  • She also ranks third in the OVC for 3-pointers made at 2.32 per game, good for 74th in the nation. 
  • Her 3-point percentage ranks second in the OVC and 78th in the NCAA at 38.9.
  • Silvey currently ranks seventh in program history for 3-point FG made, and eighth for 3-point FG attempts.
  • Sofie Lowis holds the program record for most 3-pointers attempted in a season (209) during the 2022-23 season. 
  • She also ranks sixth in 3-point FG made (151) and fourth in 3-point FG attempted (512) in her career.  
  • Jaiden Bryan is second on the team in rebounds at 4.5 per game. 
  • Bryant has had seven games this season as the rebounding leader, the most of any Cougar. 
  • The win against TSU marked the first road win for the Cougars since the 2022-23 season. 
  • Ava Gugliuzza ranks 12th in the OVC for 3-point FG made at 1.45.
  • Brianna Wooldridge ranks seventh in the OVC for offensive rebounds at 2.05 per game
  • The Cougars still lead the OVC in bench points per game at 32. This is also good for 32nd in the NCAA. 
  • They also rank first in the OVC three-point attempts at 24.1 Good for 48th in the NCAA
  • The Cougars take fourth in the OVC in rebounds per game (37.14), and second defensive rebounds (25.3).
