• SIUE dropped a 9-5 contest Wednesday at Saint Louis. The Cougars outhit the Billikens 13-10 with three hits each from Kaylynn Salyars and Kaylin Fahy.
• SIUE has won 12 of its last 15 games. The Cougars lead the Ohio Valley Conference with an 8-1 record in league play. SIUE swept three-game series with Morehead State and Tennessee Tech followed by a series win at Southeast Missouri.
• Salyars leads the Cougars with a .402 batting average and a 1.031 OPS.
• Lauren Yslava has been the team's leadoff hitter in all but two contests this season. She leads the team in runs scored (29), doubles (11) and triples (3).
• Juztyne Torres is ranked No. 4 nationally in assists per game (2.78). She has played both the second base and shortstop positions this season.
• SIUE has played in the second-longest game in NCAA Division I play this season. Tennessee Tech and SIUE went 14 innings with the Cougars winning 10-9 on March 16th. The longest NCAA Division I game this season was 15 innings between Boston University and Bucknell.
• The Cougars lead the OVC in home runs with 28. Emma Henderson is tops on the team with seven.
• Emma Henderson has hit four of her team-leading seven home runs in OVC play. She also leads the team in RBIs during league play with 18.
• SIUE is No. 1 in the OVC in hits (234), runs batted in (136) and slugging percentage (.468).
