• Coming off a three-game sweep over Tennessee State this past weekend, the Cougars head to Columbia for a single, non-conference game at Missouri.
• This is the first of eight straight games on the road for the Cougars. That includes a pair of three-game Ohio Valley Conference series at Western Illinois and Eastern Illinois.
• SIUE recorded 10 OVC wins all last season and now hold a 13-4 record in OVC play. There are nine OVC games left on the schedule for the Cougars.
• Avery Arwood leads the OVC in shutouts with three after back-to-back shutouts last week against Southern Indiana and Tennessee State. She was named the OVC Pitcher of the Week after recording a 1.00 ERA with seven hits allowed and and 18 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.
• Emma Henderson added two home runs last week and became the seventh different player in school history to record 10 home runs in a season. She is tied for seventh all-time with Alex McDavid (2013)
• The Division I era home run record for the Cougars is 12 by Grace Lueke (2022).
• Kaylynn Salyars and Emma Henderson each recorded seven hits last week in six games played.
• Piper Montgomery leads the OVC in walks with 24.
• SIUE (13-4) is in sole possession of second place in the OVC behind Eastern Illinois (14-3). Southeast Missouri is third (12-5).
• SIUE is 18-0 when leading after the fourth inning. The Cougars also are 18-0 when scoring six or more runs in a game.

Next Up: The Cougars travel to Macomb, Illinois, for a three-game series against OVC rival Western Illinois on Friday and Saturday.
