• This is SIUE's best OVC Championships seed since the 2015 season when the Cougars were the last school to host the tournament on campus.
• SIUE won the OVC Championships in 2014 as a No. 2 seed.
• Avery Arwood was named the OVC Freshman of the Year. She became the third SIUE player to earn that honor. The previous two also were pitchers: Haley Chambers-Book (2013) and Baylee Douglass (2015). Arwood was selected first team All-OVC and as a member of the All-Newcomer team.
• Kaylynn Salyars (second base) and Piper Montgomery (utility) also were selected first team. Emma Henderson was named All-OVC second team. Kaylin Fahy joined Arwood on the All-Newcomer team.
• SIUE's three first team All-OVC selections is the most in a single season.
• Coach Ben Sorden was selected as the OVC Coach of the Year after leading the team to the most OVC wins since the 2015 season. SIUE was picked eighth in the OVC preseason poll.
• Sorden is the second SIUE softball coach to earn the honor. Sandy Montgomery was selected Coach of the Year in 2015 after earning the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament.
• Emma Henderson broke SIUE's Division I era record for RBIs in a season with 44. She is tied with Grace Lueke (2022) for the most home runs in a season during the Division I era.
• Lauryn Yslava needs one more home run for solo fourth on the all-time SIUE career list.
• SIUE's 42 home runs this season is the most in a season during the Division I era.
• SIUE has outscored its opponents in every inning this season except the first inning (49-41) and the eighth inning (1-0).
• The Cougars are 21-0 when scoring six or more runs and 22-0 when leading after the fourth inning.
