Cougars Wrap up Play at Washington State

PULLMAN, Wash. – SIUE golf finished the first tournament of the 2025-26 season, finishing 12th at Washington State's Palouse Collegiate at Palouse Ridge Golf Club.

The Cougars shot 290 in Wednesday's final round and at 867 (+15) for the tournament.

Host Washington State won the team title with an 807 (-45).

Brady Kaufmann tied for 44th to lead the Cougars. Kaufmann three over in the final round and finished at 215 (+2).

Preston Bily finished a stroke back at 216 (+3) to tie for 50th. Tomas Rascon finished with a 219 to tie for 61st. Bren Reintjes finished at 222 to tie for 70th. Will Simpson shot the lowest round of the day for the Cougars, carding an even 71. He finished 70th.

Washington State's Dylan Burcham took home Individual Medalist honors at 198.

SIUE is back in action Monday at UT Martin's Grover Page Classic, where they are the defending champions.
