TONIGHT: SIUE men's soccer plays its third consecutive road game Sunday when it faces Saint Louis for the Bronze Boot Trophy.

RANK AND FILE: At No. 16 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, the Billikens are the second consecutive ranked opponent for the Cougars. Denver was No. 21 prior to facing SIUE.

THE SERIES: 2018 marked the first regular season meeting between the two soccer rivals since 1995. Regularly a well-attended game, the meeting was held at Busch Stadium II from 1972-1986. The largest crowd in NCAA history was a Bronze Boot affair, when 22,512 saw the Billikens and Cougars play at Busch Stadium on Oct. 30, 1980. The Billikens own a 27-11-3 advantage in the overall series, including a 23-7-3 lead in the Bronze Boot series. The Cougars have never won three straight games in the regular season series.Â
AT THE HELM: Two-time OVC Coach of the Year
Cale Wassermann is in his seventh season in charge of the Cougars, and his 12th overall as a head coach. He has a record of 53-37-14 (.583) in six full seasons at SIUE. He is third all-time in wins at SIUE.Â
