EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Graduate student
Syanne Mohamed (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) from women's basketball has received Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors after her performance against Southeast Missouri Feb. 12 and UT Martin Feb. 14.
Mohamed controlled the paint for SIUE over the two-game stretch, averaging 12.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. She recorded back-to-back double-doubles with 13 rebounds in each contest, including a 13-point performance against UT Martin. Mohamed shot 50 percent from the field and added two blocks while anchoring the Cougars on the glass.
