Men's Basketball Opens Final Regular Season Week with Western Illinois

The 66ers return as SIUE opens its final home weekend of the season against Western Illinois.
SIUE dropped a 80-53 contest at Tennessee Tech Thursday. It snapped a four-game winning streak in the series.
Western Illinois leads the all-time series 11-4, but SIUE has won the last three in the series, including earlier this year in Macomb.
SIUE erased a 14-point deficit over the final 8:44 to grab a comeback 66-61 win at Western Illinois Dec. 22.
SIUE has clinched a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament which begins March 4 in Evansville.
Western Illinois has won just once in OVC play this year.
SIUE is second in the OVC in field goal percent defense at .395, which is 13th in the NCAA.
SIUE is allowing 65.4 points, which is second in the league and is ranked 14th in the NCAA.
SIUE is 16-4 when allowing 70 or fewer points.
