LAST TIME OUT
SIUE won its third straight match with a 4-3 road victory at Drake. Elena Palioura provided the game-winning point at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-2 victory over Drake's Shiori Takeda. It was the second time this season SIUE has lost the doubles point and come back to win a match. For her effort, Palioura was named the OVC Singles Player of the Week.
OVC OPENER
This is the first Ohio Valley Conference match of the season for both teams. The league schedule includes five conference matches. Bryant will join the seven-team league at the OVC Championships next month.
OVC STANDINGS
The Cougars hold the best record in the OVC at 8-2 followed by Bryant at 8-4.
COMING UP NEXT
The Cougars travel for their first OVC contest next Sunday. Sunday's match at Southeast Missouri is set for 1 p.m. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

HEAD COACH ADAM ALBERTSEN
Albertsen enters his eighth season at the helm of SIUE women's tennis. He holds a record of 98-46 at SIUE. He has recorded double-digit dual victories in each of the last five seasons.
