LEXINGTON, Ky. – SIUE golf wrapped up its final regular season tournament Tuesday, finishing eighth at Kentucky's Bluegrass Invitational.
After a weather delay cut short play Monday, teams were forced to finish the second round early Tuesday before playing the final round. SIUE posted back-to-back rounds of 297. The Cougars finished at 902.
Host Kentucky won the team title at six-over par 858. Marquette (+10) and Northern Kentucky (+37) were second and third respectively.
Preston Bily finished 10-over and tied for 23rd. Tomas Rascon made the biggest move of the day and tied with Brady Kaufmann for 34th. They finished at 13 over. Will Simpson finished at 14 over to tie for 38th. Brent Reintjes tied for 62nd at 20 over.
Kentucky's Cole Stockard and Marquette's Vinny Cervantes shared Medalist honors finishing at even par.
The Cougars will next travel to West Lafayette, Indiana for the Ohio Valley Conference Championship which begins April 26.
