• Saturday's game will mark the 89th meeting between the two schools. The history between these two programs dates back to 1981.
• For the second straight week, SIUE is facing an Ohio Valley Conference opponent which holds the same league record as the Cougars. Last week, SIUE and Lindenwood were tied at 8-7 in the OVC before SIUE won two of three contests.
• SIUE and Southern Indiana are tied for fifth place in the OVC, one-half game behind Southeast Missouri for fourth place and one game behind Tennessee Tech for third place.
• SIUE swept a doubleheader from Kansas City 13-2 in five innings and 6-5.
Gretchen Trello provided a walk-off triple in Wednesday's finale at Cougar Field.

Ashley Duran went 4 of 6 with eight RBIs against Kansas City. That included a home run in each game of the doubleheader.
• Duran became the team's leading hitter at .326 with four home runs and 22 RBIs for the season.

Abby Harvell has hit out of every spot in the lineup this season at least once, including 12 times as the team's leadoff hitter. She leads the team in hits with 36.

Ben Sorden is in his fourth season and holds an 100-107 overall record with a 51-41 mark in OVC play. Sorden and the Cougars recorded 32 wins last season.
