OVC TOURNAMENT

SIUE is the No. 1 seed for the first time since the 2016-17 season. The Cougars were 5-0 in regular season OVC dual matches, including a 7-0 win over Lindenwood in St. Charles, Missouri. No. 4 seed Lindenwood advanced to the semifinals with a 4-1 win Friday over fifth-seeded Western Illinois.

OVC HONORS

Margaux Guibal Britt was named the OVC Player of the Year Thursday, and Head Coach Adam Albertsen was named the OVC Coach of the Year. Elena Palioura joined Guibal Britt on the OVC first team in singles. Stefaniya Anikina was tabbed second team All-OVC. Guibal Britt and Anikina were named All-OVC as a doubles team.

REST OF THE SCHEDULE

Saturday's winner advances to the finals at noon Sunday. The winner of the championship match receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

HEAD COACH ADAM ALBERTSEN

Albertsen is in his eighth season at the helm of SIUE women's tennis. He holds a record of 104-46 at SIUE. He has recorded double-digit dual victories in six consecutive seasons.
