EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE Athletics and Fairmount Park Casino + Racing are inviting Cougar fans, alumni, students and supporters to enjoy an exciting afternoon at the track during SIUE Day at the Races on Saturday, June 27.

The special event celebrates the growing partnership between SIUE Athletics and Fairmount Park Casino + Racing while providing exclusive experiences and discounts for members of the SIUE community.

Fans are encouraged to wear their SIUE gear and show their Cougar pride throughout the day. Those sporting SIUE apparel or presenting a valid student ID will have access to special promotions and opportunities available only during SIUE Day at the Races.

One featured promotion is the SIUE Combo Meal, available to students who present a valid Cougar ID. The meal includes a hot dog, bag of chips and non-alcoholic beverage for just $6, a savings of more than 50 percent off the regular price.

In addition, SIUE fans will have the chance to participate in a special drawing for the SIUE Trophy Race Experience. Eight lucky winners will be selected to take part in the Winner's Circle presentation following Race No. 7, the final race of the afternoon. Fans can enter by showing their Cougar ID or wearing SIUE apparel during the event.

A separate drawing will also be held for guests attending the races who are not wearing SIUE gear, providing everyone at the track an opportunity to participate in the day's festivities.

Live horse racing begins at 1:30 p.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the atmosphere and experience a full day of racing, entertainment and Cougar pride.
