JACKSON, Tenn. – A pair of top-10 finishes highlighted SIUE golf's first tournament of the year, as the Cougars took fourth at UT Martin's Grover Page Classic.

The Cougars combined to shoot 876 on their way to a top-five finish at the event for the fourth consecutive year. Host UT Martin won the event with an 858. Samford (869) and Missouri State (874) finished second and third, respectively.

Individually for SIUE, Tomas Rascon and Preston Bily, who played as an individual, were among a group of golfers to tie for eight place at 215 (-1). Max Bruening finished 18^th at 218 (+2), while freshman Rajan Roth, playing his first collegiate tournament, also turned in a top-20 finish. Roth shot a 219 (+3) to tie for 20^th.  

Trey Boecker, making his SIUE debut, tied for 32^nd at 223. Parker Bruening was 38^th at 225 and Jake Guse tied for 44^th at 228.

UT Martin's Grant Philips and Southeastern Louisiana's David Marsh shared medalist honors at 212 (-4).

SIUE stays on the road for the challenging Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational which begins Saturday at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.
