EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis returned to action this weekend, opening the fall season with dominant all-around play at the Cougar Invite.
 
The Cougars registered an impressive 16-1 record in singles matches, while also going 5-3 in doubles while mixing doubles pairings.
 
Valeriia Oleksyn was the star of the weekend, going 3-0 in singles matches against each of Southern Indiana, McKendree, and Missouri-St. Louis.
 
Next up for Cougar women's tennis is the Lindenwood Invite, set for next Friday (Sep. 11) and Saturday (Sep. 12) in St. Charles, Missouri.
