2022-23: Earned a wild card bid to the NCAA Championships ... Started season at 149 pounds and moved down to 141 midway through the season becoming a dominant force in the MAC ... Finished season with a 22-12 record overall ... Perfect 6-0 in MAC dual matches and 9-0 in all dual matches at 141 pounds ... Defeated Oregon State's Cleveland Belton in the NCAA Championships ... 2021-22: Placed sixth at 141 pounds during the 2022 MAC Championships ... Tied for team lead in wins (16) ... Finished 16-9 overall, including a second-period pin over Illinois' We Rachal ... A two-point loss to North Carolina's Zachary Sherman and an overtime loss Iowa State's Ian Parker eliminated Ervin from the Championships ... Earned his spot in the NCAA Championships with a fourth-place finish at the 2021 Mid-American Conference Championships, where he was 3-2 for the tournament ... Finished season with a 10-7 record ... Recorded 5-2 record in MAC regular season action ... Led team with three major decisions. 

2019-20: Solidified spot in lineup at 141 pounds … Posted a pair of Mid-American Conference dual meet wins, including a major decision over Clarion’s Alex Blake … Completed season with a 10-18 record, winning six of seven consecutive matches at one point in the season.

2018-19: Posted 7-3 record as a redshirt, including four falls.

Prep: A three-time state champion at Union County High School, Ervin has been an accomplished wrestler for several seasons ... Also a four-time state pace-winner with three titles and a runner-up finish ... State winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award (DSHSEA) given to the state's top senior wrestler for excellence in wrestling, scholastic achievement, citizenship, and community service ... Ervin has three direct connections to SIUE wrestling as his father, Robert, competed for the Cougars during the 1985-86 national championship season and his uncle, Tim, was a three-time Division II All-American from 1979 to 1981.
