Brandon McCall joined SIUE baseball as a graduate assistantcoach in August 2013. McCall came to SIUE after having mostrecently been a coach with the Nashville Knights summer baseballprogram.

McCall coaches first base, work with the infielders for theCougars, and assists Danny Jackson with the Cougar hitters. McCallguided the Cougars to success in the field in 2014. SIUE finishedthird in the OVC with a .974 fielding percentage in OVC games, just.06 points off the league lead. The Cougars turned 31 double plays,the third-most in the league.

The Franklin, Tenn., native played three seasons of NCAA DivisionI baseball at current Ohio Valley Conference program Belmont,though the Bruins were members of the Atlantic Sun during his timeon the field. Primarily a third baseman, McCall also saw time atsecond base and shortstop. McCall finished his career with a .318batting average, 34 doubles, 17 home runs, and 112 RBIs. He washonored as an All-Atlantic Sun second team selection following hissenior season in which he hit .346 with eight home runs and 48RBIs.
 
McCall also was an All-Star in the Northwoods CollegiateLeague while playing with the Thunder Bay Border Cats.
 
McCall earned a bachelor’s in business administrationfrom Belmont in 2009. He is pursuing a master’s in sports andexercise psychology at SIUE.
