SIUE

Former SIUE infielder Chase Green joined the SIUE baseball staff in August 2015.

Green, who will work with infielders and assist Danny Jackson with the Cougar hitters, spent parts of five seasons (2011-15) in a Cougar uniform. He started 215 games, which ranks third-most in school history.

The native of Effingham, Illinois, finished his career with 219 hits, ranking him 12^th all-time. Playing both shortstop and second base during his time as a player, he is second all-time with 562 infield assists and is SIUE’s career leader in double plays turned with 120.

Green received his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from SIUE in 2014. He currently is pursuing a master’s in exercise and sports psychology.
