Highland, Illinois, native and former Eastern Illinois standout Joe Duncan joined Sean Lyons’ staff for the 2020 season. Duncan enjoyed a successful four-year career as an outfielder for the Panthers from 2015-2018. A career .310 hitter, he finished his EIU career second in program history with 278 hits and third all-time in games played at 210. He is finished eighth with 47 career doubles and eighth in triples with nine. At the end of his career, he was the all-time leader with 58 stolen bases. He was an Ohio Valley Conference All-Freshman team pick in 2015 and a second team All-OVC performer in 2017. He played more than 50 games in each of his last three seasons at EIU.

Duncan played two seasons with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Independent Frontier League.
