Prior to SIUE: Appeared in four games while making three starts on the mound at Western Kentucky in 2024… Struck out seven batters in 6.1 innings ...Previously played two seasons at Olney Central CC … Started five of his 12 appearances on the mound and totaled a 4-1 record … Notched 34 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched in 2023.

Pesonal: Father Tony Duenas is an SIUE Athletics Hall of Famer...Played for the baseball Cougars from 1984-1987...Hit .335 in 172 career games...Previously held single season (15 in 1985) and career (30) home run records... Also pitched for the Cougars and was 22-13 with a 2.83 ERA in his career.
